Blue Sparkle Silver Leaf Box

What You'll Need:
A strong Polymer Clay: Premo or Fimo or Cernit
Pearl-Ex Pigment Powders
We'll use 1/2 transparent and 1/2 colored
Pasta Machine for making clay sheets
Silver Leaf (the faux kind)
Mini Paper Mache Box
E6000 Glue for handle
How To Make It:
1. Roll clay through pasta machine.

2. Place sheet of Silver Leaf on clay sheet and send through pasta machine again.

3. Continue to fold clay onto itself and send through pasta machine until Silver Leaf is evenly dispersed into clay.

4. Paint inside of paper mache box.

5. Make pattern pieces for clay by placing box on clay and cutting around it.

6. Apply light layer of glue to outside of box, then press clay onto box, pressing seams together for smooth edges.

7. Bake box bottom.

8. For top, take box and place upside down (lightly) on a single layer of prepared clay. With a craft knife, cut around box to create your top piece. Set aside.

9. On a fresh sheet of clay, again lay the box upside down as you did in the last step, only this time, push right through the clay to form the inside of the lid (which you need or it'll never stay on).

10. Press these two pieces together to form your lid.

11. Take a wad of excess clay and roll it into a ball for lid handle. Bake lid and handle.

12. Glue your baked handle onto the lid and voila, You're done!
