Polymer Clay Mosaic Plaque
This guy was created by pressing polymer clay mosaic pieces into a bed of uncooked black clay.

Polymer Clay Mosaic Plaque

What You'll Need:
For the base, use a strong Polymer Clay: Premo or Fimo
The mosaics can be any clay: SculpeyIII, Premo, Fimo, Fimo Soft
Pasta Machine for making clay sheets
Small Picture Hook
How To Make It:
1. Start with a thickish base slab of strong polymer clay (black is always my fave). Shape any way you want.

2. Make mosaics by running clay through a pasta machine to make a thin, even sheet. Bake and cut into squares or shapes while still warm.

3. After mosaic tiles have cooled, start pressing mosaics into the clay bed to create your design.

4. Before baking, embedding a small picture hook into the backside of the piece.

5. Bake.

6. Finish your piece by buffing on a buffing wheel or apply Future Floor Wax and before you know it, voila, you're done!
